Tasting notes

Taster Jim Murray

Nose: Spicy start is a detour to the sweet unmalted barley.
Palate: Mouth-watering start with enormous pot still arrival. But the impact is cushioned slightly by a silky sweetness.
Finish: Hardness remains but is softened by a cocoa/caramel thread.
Comment: A really clean, compact whiskey which expands in a controlled but mouthwatering manner.

Taster Michael Jackson

Nose: Superbly aromatic. Cedary.
Palate: Dried apricots. Marshmallow. Syrup-soaked seed cake.
Finish: Wafers. Peppery dryness.
Comment: Distinctive. A very full pot-still Irish.
