Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very aromatic; hay, grass and peat.
Palate: Lovely balance of sugared almonds, syrup, a hint of orange-zest, grass and peat.
Finish: Light, soft, warming. Deceptively long.
Comment: Lots of flavour development. I enjoyed this one.

Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Deep sweetish sherry, just a hint of smoke and old leather; and a very healthy, rich maltiness.
Palate: An awesome, oily wave of sweet sherry-malt intensity. Fabulous complexity.
Finish: Rich chocolate notes, lightly metallic finale.
Comment: Astonishing for a Speysider of such antiquity. First class complexity with no over-ageing.
