Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Floral, very perfumy. Freesia, carnation. A hint of geranium. Green pepper.Blancmange. New calfskin. Barley sugar. Quite complex and multilayered. Very enticing.
Palate: Silky, gently flowing. Parma violet. Salty.
Finish: Lingering, nutty. Smoked almonds.
Comment: So difficult to assess when you have only a half a tablespoon sample! Thenose is more complex than the palate, overwhelmed by parma violet.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Lavender mixed with salt and dried sweet orange peel and lime jelly. Watermanages to tone down the perfume.
Palate: Dry and then the lavender along parma violet and chalk. Pretty dry andlight on mid-palate with barley and then saved by juicy fruits.
Finish: The perfumed note hangs in, but isn't as overt as the nose suggests.
Comment: That perfume problem that bedevils old MBD malts knocks this back.
