Tasting notes
Taster   Joe Bates
Nose: Distinctly earthy scents here, even a little sulphorous. In the background there are some citrusy notes too.
Palate: This whiskey puts the ‘s’ in smooth and is very drinkable. In the wings are some intriguing lemon, clove and menthol notes.
Finish: Curiously cooling finish, but delightfully smooth overall.
Comment: A curious beast this one – the odd nose belies an attractively smooth tasting whiskey with some very interesting flavours.
8.4
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Mildly metallic, then warm machine oil. Lightly spicy cereal notes.
Palate: Oily, with off fruits, but soon starts to dry.
Finish: Liquorice and rather bitter oak.
Comment: The finish is too bitter to give real balance.
