Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Fragrant smoke, with dryish maltiness.
Palate: Quite full and syrupy, oaky and smoky.
Finish: Remarkable emergence of mint toffee.
Comment: Not quite the complexity of the 1946 and 1948. Oaky woodiness begins to intrude.

Nose: Cooked apple and lemon citrus, some wood.
Palate: Richer apples, lemons and peat smoke.
Finish: Richly phenolic with fresh lemons and cooked apples.
