Tasting notes
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Soft and fresh, with ginger snaps, coconut and slightly salty lemon juice.
Palate: A silky mouth-feel, with immediate lively spices, apricots, and digestive biscuits dipped in honey.
Finish: Spices persist, with drier notes of char in a lengthy finish.
Comment: Classic American oak-matured Bablair. Lack of chill-filtration and enhanced ABV really suit the brand.
8.2
Taster   Joe Bates
Nose: Enticing vanilla, coconut, raisin and bready notes at play here.
Palate: Lots more sweet bourbon-influenced vanilla and coconut on the palate along with some fresher citrus notes.
Finish: Lingering honey sweetness tempered with some dry oaky notes.
Comment: The Bourbon maturation leaves its unmistakable influence on this all-too tempting dram.
