Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Garden mint. Marijuana. Incense. Joss sticks.
Palate: Creamy and oily. Peppermint.
Finish: Tobacco. Faint peat smoke.
Comment: I have always found Benromach assertively flowery, herbal, almost cedary. Will this highly distinctive character prevail in the new, smaller, stills introduced since the change of ownership? Tastings on a recent visit suggest that it might.

Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: At once flowery and fruity. Marmalade and very sweet vanilla.
Palate: Excellent bittersweet kick-off, complex and tangled but settling for a medium sweet wine gum fruitiness.
Finish: Lots of vanilla intermingling with gentlest arrival of smoke. Rather thin at the death, though.
Comment: Something of a delicate flower, lacks a certain 'oomph' to rant it amongst the greats.
