Tasting notes

Taster Rob Allanson

Nose: Bread and butter pudding, chocolate covered toffee, mint toffee, banana skin. Spirity at first, an alcohol prickle, then the oak comes through.
Palate: Big, bold character with plenty of oak grip, chilli spiced crackers, wasabi peas, espresso coffee. Then a maple syrup sweetness and raspberry jam.
Finish: Long and moreish. Very jammy and the moves to a coffee note.
Comment: The alcohol is well mastered, water helps it reach its true potential.

Taster Neil Ridley

Nose: Very bright jammy notes (apricot and raspberry) an underlying note of spicy chocolate ginger and new oak.
Palate: Mint/menthol humbugs, a touch of rubberiness, leading into dry liquorice root, a touch of coffee and butterscotch.
Finish: Sweet candied notes, alongside a touch of chewy cigar richness.
Comment: Despite its appearance in a youthful, trendy overcoat, this has some developing, interesting and complex under garments.
