Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Something young and peaty this way comes; peppery, with a slight coal dust note, a little white wine and smouldering twigs.
Palate: Youthful and spiky; the peat is very dry and dusty, with a distinct coal note, a little soapiness and some tannic oak.
Finish: The coal dust dominates, with the tannins just about
Comment: Pretty much a one-dimensional dram; fine if you like explosive youthful peat smoke.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Phenolic. Smoke and soot. Briny. Smoked herring. With water, a touch of tar.
Palate: Sweet and smoky. Satin-like. A cardboardy note. Smoked fish. A hint of vanilla and aniseed. Quite straightforward.
Finish: Short, smoky.
Comment: A quiet islander. But rather one-dimensional.
