Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: A bit shy to start. Mossy with touches of pear, wine gums, apple juice. Gentle, smooth.
Palate: Mint chocolate, light cocoa and a crunchy texture which softens and is given a lift by tangerine, fruit jelly and berries. Balanced by a clove/cinnamon spiciness.
Finish: Berries. Quite short and a light, oaky grip.
Comment: Seamlessly put together. Best drunk neat.
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: Pow! Lots of oaky tannins, and American oak-like character. Vanilla and pine wood sap. Some soft fruits and a little heather smoke too.
Palate: Boff! Again more of these bourbon-like oak tannins but some malt character hiding underneath.
Finish: More sappy woodiness.
Comment: Is this Scotch I thought? Yes, but not as we are used to it. Interesting.
