Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Crisp oak, malt bins/shredded wheat, estery. Hot bracken, patisserie (almond, vanilla) kumquat, praline. Seems young.
Palate: Spicy and fresh. Decent depth in the centre. Good flow. Light milk chocolate, clootie dumpling mix, citrus peels, hazelnut shell.
Finish: Dry cereal, nutty, young.
Comment: It's a perfectly decent dram but not a patch on the great 'vintage' bottlings.
7.5
Taster   Arthur Motley
Nose: Spice, spirit and citrus. Fruitiness too, with a combination of pale sultanas and sharp woodland berries.
Palate: Slightly spirity, spicy and with mixed peel character.
Finish: Biscuity.
Comment: Youthful, but without the lip-smacking class of the older vintages.
7.5
