Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Undoubtedly sherry first-fill. Intense, perfumy. Musty. Mushroom. Buttered fruit cake. Vanilla fudge. Roasted coffee beans. Smoke.
Palate: Elegant oaky notes. Dark chocolate. Bread and butter pudding. Mixed spice. Cloves.
Finish: Lingering, sweet and so sherried.
Comment: Heavily sherried. Rich and full-bodied but the distillery character is hidden by the wood. For the sherry fanatic.
7.8
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Richly coloured. Sweet, golden syrup, toffee, wood. Nutty with some fig, dried apricot, orange. Autumnal.
Palate: Cake spices. Attractive, light-to medium-weight. Seems to stop halfway through. Wood apparent all the way.
Finish: A little short and dry.
Comment: Clean, dry. Perfectly drinkable.
