Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Bags of rich oak here, soft toffee too. Opens up slowly to reveal forest, mossy notes and pencil shavings.
Palate: Starts slowly, then the oak begins to push its way through. Quite tannic.
Finish: Oaky
Comment: Takes a little getting used to, but then that oak grip gets quite pleasant.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Oaky. Rich toffee. An earthy character too. Wet pine needles. Hint of mushroom. A distant floral note. Needs time to unwind.
Palate: Smooth and sweet at start. But bitterness sweeps the gentle start away. As astringent as the skin of a raw quince. Water does not help.
Finish: Bitter and dry.
Comment: For those who like bitter drinks, obviously. Too much untamed wood maybe?
