Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Neat there's apple skin, some earthy smokiness and a slightly musty wood. Hay. Water brings out peat which grows in intensity. Pretty tense.
Palate: Highly aromatic and zesty with apple blossom then the smoke begins to drift through. Shows very good balance when water is added. Cayenne. Appetising. Just entering maturity.
Finish: Lightly nutty.
Comment: Drink over ice.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Grassy. Freshly cut grass including a bunch of garden mint. Turf. Malt flour. Alcohol tickles. A hint of smoke.
Palate: Sweet maltiness. Hay loft. Wild chervil. A spicy burst at mid-palate.
Finish: Dry, very spicy. Chilli.
Comment: A sunny malt. Quite sharp and spirity but a pleasant aromatic freshness. Could be a thirst quenching for some. Water does not cut all edges.
