Tasting notes

Taster Chris Goodrum

Nose: Succulent, fragrantly smoked dried fruit. Oily sultana with dried apricot, coconut and marzipan, cedar and camphor. Light granulated sugar and astringent herbal notes.
Palate: Lightly oiled and spiced mélange of sultana, dried grape, cherry, apple and apricot. Gentle wood smoke with some distinct, sweet but edgy grain spices.
Finish: Long and oaky with coconut and peanut notes, finishing with some lovely, crisp grain.
Comment: A lovely, moderately aged grain whisky. This has a truly unique flavour profile which every whisky lover should try at least once.

Taster Alwynne Gwilt

Nose: Fresh, fruity, a nice oaky spice. Pineapple, something minty. Smells like it’s going to be clean.
Palate: Classic: spice, sweet, rounded. Nice balance of fruit (raisins, plums, Christmas cake) with a good bit of freshness and cinnamon zing.
Finish: Bit of a dry kick at the back, with a nice buttery brown sugar note. Medium length.
Comment: Comments: Good all- rounder. Tastes like whisky straight from warehouse on a cold day. Very appealing.
