Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Enticing. Cloved orange. Moth balls. A touch of old leather armchair. Shoe polish. Smoky. Cold ashtray. A marine hint.
Palate: Sherry. A bit cardboardy. Distant coaltar. Date chutney. Getting bitter. Oak speaks out.
Finish: Dry, bitter.
Comment: The nose is more interesting than the palate. A full bodied character which has flirted a bit too long with wood. Might suit cigar palates.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Dullish green rim. Dried sage and lavender/parma violet, seashore. Water increases the perfume lavender eau de toilette.
Palate: Soapy and sweet though with plenty of smoke trying to cover it up. A peat fire in a lady's bathroom?
Finish: Nutty yet tacky.
Comment: This is where Bowmore was stuck for too long.
