Tasting notes
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Fresh blackcurrant juice, Play-Doh, a note of freshly sawn pine and someEvostick and liquorice spice.
Palate: Spiced baked apple, lemon juice, cinnamon bark and vanilla.
Finish: Lingering notes of vanilla and spiced apple.
Comment: Some intriguing spice and fruit here, with a backbone of oak.
8.1
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Very shy at first, gentle mown grass notes, plain flour, melted butter, freshwood shavings and wool skins.
Palate: Sweet and malty, still very gentle. Raspberry meringue with maple syrup and some wood spices.
Finish: Spices suddenly explode and tannins give great grip and warmth.
Comment: Nothing gives away that finish.
