Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Beautifully grassy and crisp, sugar coated white fruit, liquorice root, ginger, barley and soft spice. The grassy character becomes more botanical and herbal and a whiff of earthy peat puts in an appearance.
Palate: A little more toffeed oak to begin with but the crisp, stony spirit character offsets. Subtle apricot and Sauvignon Blanc-esque white stone fruit with some barley and a touch of grass.
Finish: Long with the subtle earthy peat lingering. Mineral, stony.
Comment: Oh yes, that’s the business! A delightful whisky with just the right amount of peat.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Delicate vanilla, pineapple juice from tinned pineapple rings, daisies, light summer fruits, lemongrass and a hint of ginger and delicate smoke.
Palate: Green apples, gooseberries, mint tea, lemon meringue pie topping, sweet green tea. Complex yet light and all sitting on a delicate bed of smoke.
Finish: Dying fireside embers, charred pineapple.
Comment: A delicate but complex whisky that I’d happily drink both during hot summer days and cold winter nights. Versatile.
