Tasting notes

Taster Mark Newton

Nose: Gorgeous buttermilk and vanilla opening, with Werther’s Originals. Golden syrup. Creaminess slides into apple pie. Lemon juice and fragrant old roses.
Palate: Mouthwatering, with green apples, fresh apricots, mead, light honey and a little waxiness. Tons of vanilla and fudge with maltiness to balance. Brine and citrus.
Finish: Not as long as one might hope, but fresh fruits and maltiness mesh together effectively.
Comment: Not overly complex, but crisp flavours and ends up being fun.

Taster Laura Foster

Nose: Fresh aromas of pine and pine resin, orange peel and pith intermingle, along with prune syrup.
Palate: Soft orchard fruits meet your palate at first, before some of that acidic prune character get your taste buds going. There’s a creamy, sweet character here too: crème brûlée and rice pudding with vanilla pods, finished with some gingerbread biscuit.
Finish: Thriller in vanilla.
Comment: Approach-able, soft and safe.
