Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Takes its time to open, then there is a zip of fresh lemon zest and fruit puddings. Dark fruits, plums, blackberries, and a touch of warming bike tyre.
Palate: Quite fresh after the nose, sweet oak vanillas and ginger with the gentle hint of distance wood fires. Burnt heather sprigs.
Finish: Sweet, with spices.
Comment: Big and bold flavours that become more amplified with a touch of water.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Shy and rather closed. Bread dough. A cardboard note. Then a diesel one, like entering a garage. Fruit (green grape) try to uncover it but it breaks through.
Palate: Crisp and dry. With a dusty feel, like sanding paper. A bit of cereals andfruit. The tang of alcohol toned down by the sweet maltiness.
Finish: Dry, slightly peppery.
Comment: That whisky definitely needs water. But it lacks balance and charm. The alcohol is not mastered.
