Tasting notes

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: Sweet. Honeycomb and a lightly waxy character. Sweet apple,ripe pear and orange zest. Shows complexity and needs water where a delicious caramelised banana comes through, custard as well.
Palate: Silky and soft with butterscotch and honeyed notes. Good energy. Good balance. Some tropical fruit notes some citrus zest and a hint of malt and oak giving structure.
Finish: Honey and then tobacco.
Comment: Balanced, integrated and complex.

Taster Martine Nouet

Nose: Delicate,perfumy.Cooked fruit. Pear and apple compote. A hint of chestnut purée. Develops on fudgy notes. A floral touch. Freesia. With water, almond and vanilla.
Palate: Round, velvety. Quite thick. Sweet apple juice and ginger ale. A touch ofpraline. Lovely feel.
Finish: Smooth, gently spicy.
Comment: A satisfying dram. Very smooth and well-balanced. Oak is melting withfruit. More character without water.
