Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Ripe peaches, paper bags with screws, garden potting sheds, marshmallows and chocolate digestives. Warming copper stills and cherry frangipane.
Palate: Fruity and a little oak starts to show through. Boxes of Belgian chocolate seashells. Caster sugar and Jellied fruit sweets.
Finish: That warm metallic note is still here, but it is shrouded in those crystallised sugared fruits.
Comment: Age? Who cares. This is balanced with great oak and spirit integration too.
8.7
Taster   Kate Packwood
Nose: Lemon sherbet, barley, blotting paper and griddled pineapple. Golden syrup, lemon drizzle cake and a hint of salt taffy.
Palate: Peach iced tea and lemonade. Honey cake, lemon drops and cocktail cherries.
Finish: Gentle citrus lingers and some cardamom spice.
Comment: Rather like eating a pineapple upside down cake at a lemonade stand.
