Tasting notes
Taster   Lyndsey Gray
Nose: A whole lot of sparkling grapefruit juice swirling around notes of jelly sweets, caramelised bananas and creamy, hot white chocolate. Almonds and chewed tobacco.
Palate: A joyful rollercoaster of roasted Bombay spice mix and last night’s barbeque soot with vanilla cream and every zesty citrus fruit you could find.
Finish: A chalky consistency with waves of smoke and a light juiciness creating a balanced finish.
Comment: A Lowland that is weighty in taste Not what you expect but still perfectly balanced.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Salted butter and potted brown shrimp on warmed sourdough bread. Damp cedar chests and butter toffee. Rhubarb and custard hard sweets. Wood smoke lurks.
Palate: Sweet at first then a floral woody smokiness starts to build. Fruit pastilles and then pickled chilli.
Finish: Herbal, hot, a little smoky and quite short with a chilli heat coming in too.
Comment: Reminds me of visiting a herring museum – you’re in an old fish smoking warehouse, then getting chips with chilli sauce.
