Tasting notes

Taster Joe Bates

Nose: Complex aromas here: soft peat smoke, warming spices and dried fruits combining wonderfully together.
Palate: An initial burst of vanilla toffee sweetness, backed up with dried pineapple.
Finish: Sweet and smoky finish.
Comment: Einar was some warrior by all accounts and this namesake whisky is certainly not shy in coming forward in terms of bright, bold flavours.

Taster Gavin D. Smith

Nose: Newsprint, gentle smoke, caramel, ginger and a hint of fish oil.
Palate: Fruitcake flavours, mixed spices, vanilla and light peat smoke.
Finish: Sweet and smoky, warming and very spicy.
Comment: Nicely balanced, not overly complex.
