Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Mint caramel bars, melting marshmallow, Big Red chewing gum, black treacle, tinned peaches, crumble topping, honeycomb and chocolate, fresh pineapple juice.
Palate: Dense, creamy, almost olive oil. Mango and chilli sauce, honey and lemon and then that chilli spice kick returns.
Finish: Long, juicy with exotic fruit notes. Buttery right at the end.
Comment: Classic Speyide notes but there is a twist to them, a cask finish? A fun and intriguing concept. Blind tasting a blind tasting, surely some irony...
Taster   Sophie Donovan
Nose: Quite a soft and mellow nose, light caramel and honey, Fox's Galcier Mints. Beeswax, sweet and floral, with marmalade.
Palate: Fresh and floral at first, more caramel, light woody notes, fresh sawdust. Barley sugar sweets, biscuity with an oily mouthfeel.
Finish: Short and sweet, easy drinking.
Comment: Perfect for a summer's day, I hope we actually get one this year!
