Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Butterscotch, cumquats and almonds combine to offer a most tantalising and complex nose.
Palate: Shuddering arrival of firm oak. Softened by a voluptuous sweet malt concentrate.
Finish: Finely balanced with some smoke and chocolate drifting serenely over the sweet malt and oak.
Comment: Unquestionably one of the finest Balblairs released.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very aromatic and appetising. Hints of the sea. Some earthiness. Surprisingly peaty.
Palate: Seed cake. Textured, sweet. Some creaminess. Vanilla.
Finish: Lemony. Slightly sharp. A touch of salt.
Comment: For a whisky that is very light when young, this matures surprisingly well and for long periods
