Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Opens with light sulphur and a pleasing whiff of brand new welly boots. Then there's lime, garden twine, lawnmower oil and the overwhelming aroma of a garden shed.
Palate: Quite fat and buttery, with fruits now in charge (maybe we're in the garden now.) Ripe apples and a little drift of smoke. With water a green oily note.
Finish: Clean and soft.
Comment: I've no idea how you can distil a garden shed, but they've done it. Highly evocative - if weird.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Earthy and oaky. Hummus, wet leaves. Opens on nutty notes. Fresh walnuts. And some honey. Nougat.
Palate: Sweet with the texture of raw silk. Not as smooth as the nose leads to expect. Spicy with an oaky grip.
Finish: Very dry and warm. A touch of toffee balances the dryness in the end.
Comment: A firm oaky character. Water cuts the edges but enhances the oak bitterness. Will suit those who like these dry whiskies.
