Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Oily/beeswax, dried tropical/citric fruits, honey. Water brings out waxy oiliness, the (nice) smell of new welly boot. Exotic, individual.
Palate: Drier and crisper than expected, the oak merged well with light smoke and oiliness. Great balance. Really delivers. Succulent but dry.
Finish: Dry, light pepper, becomes gentle.
Comment: Wonderfully textural, sexy, dangerous. Unconventional beauty.
8.8
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Good firm aromatics. Fennel. Liquorice.
Palate: Malty. Sweetish, especially with water. Seville orange peels.
Finish: Fruity-spicy. Chilli-like. Explosion of spicy flavours. Hot peppermints. Pepper.
Comment: Full of flavour. Full of interest. A good, complex bottling.
