Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Fragrant. Gingerbread. Orange peel. Christmas spices. Marmalade. On time more citrus; candied tangerine. Orange blossom. Orange curd.
Palate: Smooth and caressing. Venetian velvet. The same Christmas flavours as on the nose. Gingerbread and a hint of milk chocolate.
Finish: Drier. Ginger, liquorice.
Comment: Perfect for a Christmas Eve after dinner dram. With a minced pie of course.Water is not recommended.

Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Touches of rancio, but dominated by burnt pastry, demerara sugar, caramelised fruit sugars, barley sugar and oak. With water some green fence posts, wheat, and creme brulee.
Palate: Butterscotch and pine/oaky grip. Rich and certainly sweet but the feeling is itis all oak driven.
Finish: Orange blossom and cereal. Oak.
Comment: It has a sweet punch and some will love this overtly oaky style. I'm not wholly convinced about what it's done to the overall balance.
