Tasting notes
Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Black tea, over-ripe gala melon, tobacco leaf and truffle. This is a complex nose with a hint of spirit behind it.
Palate: The palate is sweet, with more black tea notes, some cracked black pepper, cardamom, nutmeg and Madagascan vanilla.
Finish: Sweet cure bacon, oak and vanilla.
Comment: A lot going on, maybe too much. Not quite a rainbow, nor a grey muddle.

Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Dense, perfumed and floral (hyacinth) with malt, barley and vibrant, herbal infused subtle dried fruit. It’s relatively straightforward but deep and concentrated with a pervasive minerality.
Palate: Opens with sugar-coated barley and light, herbal notes. Apricot, pear and dried citrus fruit comes through along with hints of honey. Like the nose it displays a lovely, bracing minerality.
Finish: Long, crisp and very mineral with a touch of black pepper and lingering orange and honey.
Comment: A lovely, robust, mouth-filling malt with an impressive finish.
