Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Opens with sawdusty, mature oak, luscious honey and tropical apricot, melon and kumquat. Lightly phenolic and medicinal notes begin to dominate a little but it’s still a sensational nose!
Palate: Sweet and honeyed with juicy barley and citrus. Not as mature as the nose but you can’t fault its succulent character. A sliver of smoke and gentle grain complete the picture.
Finish: Long and moist with a lovely, taught citrus and botanical grain finish. Lingering soft, sweet spices.
Comment: Proof that blends are not inferior to single malts!

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: Depth and complexity with a hint of vanilla, rose, and raspberry ripple ice cream.
Palate: A very pleasant palate of cherry stones, rhubarb, heirloom tomatoes and green apples.
Finish: Simple hints of ginger, capers and some parsley.
Comment: Another simple but well crafted blend which will delight those looking at this style of whisky.
