Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich and deep. A hint of white truffle and a light charred note. Oily with nutty/sweet oxidised notes. Thick honey, barley sugar and ginger.
Palate: Big, thick and honeyed - blossom/clover. Red fruits, some spicy wood extract. Unctuous and thick.
Finish: Dessert like.
Comment: Amazing depth of character for such a young whisky. Has been bottled at its peak and shows a great balance of distillery character and the weird decayed glory of Sauternes.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Sour. Pomegranate. Some other exotic fruit too. Floral. Daffodils. Develops on more fruit. Some fresh red grape juice. And also parma violets.
Palate: Sweet then shifting to the same sour character as the nose. Pomegranate.Crystallised violets. A perfumy sensation.
Finish: Sweet and perfume-like.
Comment: An unusual aromatic display. To try when you feel different? Maybe. That perfume profile made my tastebuds uncomfortable though.
