Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Initially custard and vanilla pastry, then it develops into leaf mould, film cannisters, almost smoked bacon and bonfires. A damp hay note comes through given a little time.
Palate: A sweet fruity tang wrapped in plenty of peat smoke. There is a crisp drying edge too.
Finish: Short, drying with that lingering peat smoke.
Comment: Peat to the fore with some interesting layers of sweetness. One for the outdoors hip flask.

Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Flinty, with a bold, wet, moist peat note alongside. This feels like your nose could easily get swamped and dragged under. Given time, more mossy, wet straw makes me think of very wet 'stay in door days' on Islay.
Palate: Masses of big fat, ringing wet black peat smoke. Forget tasting anything after this - it is unforgiving and very bullish.
Finish: You've guessed it, lingering smoke and wet leaves fight tooth and claw for attention with ash and spent embers.
Comment: You'll be in seventh heaven if a deep bog floats your boat.
