Tasting notes

Taster Michael Jackson

Nose: Cedary. Vanilla. Custard. Honey.
Palate: Toffee. Sweetish. Cedary. Scenty. Talc-like.
Finish: Coconut. Indian spices. Very long indeed.
Comment: A very interesting whisky, but the distillery character is better served with a dash of sherry.

Taster Dave Broom

Nose: A malty, intense and slightly hard nose. Water tones it down showing sweet fruit, malt and bracken.
Palate: Totally different to the nose. Luscious and mellow with honey, chestnut, honeysuckle and cream. Builds beautifully still, with firm wood.
Finish: Sugared almond.
Comment: A subtle expression of The Balvenie.
