Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very perfumy. The typically peachy bouquet of The Glenlivet seems to be accentuated.
Palate: Firm, medium to full, body. Very smooth. Rich and fruity, with slightly more peat than usual.
Finish: Silky, creamy tastes. Vanilla. Some, very restrained, burnt grass, dryness.
Comment: Lacks the subtlety of a more conventional Glenlivet, but will charm some consumers with a richer, creamier, style. Very drinkable indeed.
8.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Candy floss, dry spices, the smell of the woodshed. In time overripe banana, cherries, coconut and orange appear.
Palate: Very sweet start with ripe fruits, then wood starts to dominate.
Finish: The wood takes over making it a pretty dry experience.
Comment: Unbalanced, the high-impact of new cask sits uncomfortably with the distillery character.
