Tasting notes

Taster Joe Bates

Nose: A rich fruity nose of dried fruit, Christmas nuts and just a whiff of cigar smoke.
Palate: It has a thick, almost buttery mouth-feel and packs in sweet toffee and treacle flavours along with some oaky spice.
Finish: Long, rich and rather complex.
Comment: A complex, mature whisky with lots of depth and richness. One to savour and take time to enjoy — a perfect dram to enjoy with friends while putting the world to rights.

Nose: Peaches, apricots and soft toffee.
Palate: Smooth, fruity, with Brazil nuts and milk chocolate.
Finish: The chocolate darkens, with final notes of liquorice.
Comment: A good, middle-of-the road solid whisky.
