Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: The peat courses through the aroma, in perfect balance and harmony with the oily malt.
Palate: The malt is soft at first but then, the peatiness gathers pace and intensity until it positively glows.
Finish: The oak Bourbon-malt-peat-cocoa characters all ebb and flow but is joined by a late fruity ripeness and a sprinkling of peppers.
Comment: This is the finest whisky I have ever tasted. As close to perfection as makes no difference.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Sea air. Seaweed. Oak, rope, leather.
Palate: Malty, toffeeish, sweet, fruity. Barbecue wood. Mustard. Salt.
Finish: Distinctly sappy, smoky and very warming.
Comment: Rich and creamy, with huge flavour development.
