Tasting notes
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Lots of sherry. Malt.
Palate: Very sweet and toffeeish. Creamy. Good wood extract. Spicy. Dusty.
Finish: Spicy, lively, long.
Comment: The dark mahogany colour speaks of wood. The cask itself had more to give than the 1970.
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Less intense than the 1970 but in the same vein. Vanilla fudge. Flowering currant. Sultanas. A hint of yeast.
Palate: Bitter-sweet. Slightly tangy. More spices and more wood than the 1970. Takes more time to open up.
Finish: Long and spicy.
Comment: Quite a robust Macallan. Less delicate than the 1970 but in tune with the Macallan style.
