Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Elegant, complex and layered: pot pourri, dried peel, cashew, lightly caramelised fruits, praline, pistachio, vanilla, clootie dumpling.
Palate: Builds very very slowly in the mouth. Fresh, and though seems delicate has a mellow weight. Complex.
Finish: Long, softens.
Comment: Superb balance and complexity. A belter.

Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Very aromatic. Quite heavy. Unusually peaty. A touch of sulphur.
Palate: Creamy. Passion fruit. Iron. Then sandy and salty.
Finish: Crescendo of spicy flavours, especially cayenne pepper.
Comment: The whisky for a Baltimore crab feast. Why not a Bruichladdich crab feast, come to that?
