Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Citrussy. Lemon posset. The alcohol bite is quite prickly but in a nice way. Herbal tea (lemon balm). In time, sweet notes softens the spirit tang. Guava jelly. Mandarine.
Palate: Silky. More orangey than lemony. Water brings out a touch of cardboard. Spicy tang.
Finish: Dry, spicy, gingery. Almond milk.
Comment: A very refreshing dram, most enjoyable for a summer evening (one can dream!). The alcohol is more aggressive on the palate.
7.5
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Sweet and malty. Green melon, frying turmeric powder and little lime zest and a floral touch. Delicate and slightly chalky.
Palate: This needs water which has a softening effect, bringing out lemon, banana milk shake and hazelnut. Very light and delicate.
Finish: White pepper.
Comment: Saved by the water and though too insubtantial to get a high mark would make a good aperitif.
7.5
