Tasting notes

Taster Gavin D. Smith

Nose: Earthy, herbal, with baked potatoes, sherry, sultanas, heather and overt peatiness.
Palate: Not as substantial as the nose suggested, but pleasing flavours of orchard fruits and freshly-baked sponge cake sprinkled with ginger.
Finish: Medium-length, warming spices, a hint of liquorice.
Comment: Getting close to what we expect our Highland Parks to be.

Taster Joe Bates

Nose: Quite fresh and fruity on the nose with vanilla to the fore, backed up by zesty lemon and soft smoke.
Palate: Sweet with a touch of spice, and a little smoke.
Finish: Medium-length with a little back pepper.
Comment: A pleasant enough whisky but this Viking raider would more likely shake your hand than hit you over the head with an axe.
