Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Takes its time but reveals stewed oranges, wet wood and leaves,a littlemint and leather.
Palate: There is bitter sweet oak at first. Orange peel, liquorice and some dark fruits.
Finish: The oak dominates and dries on fruits.
Comment: Clearly to be enjoyed like an old document, but what a price point.

Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Woody. Damp oak. Fungal. Like walking in a forest on a wet Novemberday. Bitter orange marmalade. Rancio
Palate: Crisp. Oak speaks up. Obviously a very old whisky. Old furniture. Prunes.Flowering currant. Passion fruit.
Finish: Lingering, oaky with a sweet prune note
Comment: A very old whisky which has retained vigour but lost its balance. Oak is prevailing. To savour more like a piece of liquid history.
