Tasting notes
Taster   Jim Murray
Nose: Fresh and fruity. A briny edge that fits with the sweetest of malts. Invigorating.
Palate: A fanfare of sweet malt makes a brilliant arrival. Possible to detect deliciously burnt fudge, roast chestnuts and much more besides.
Finish: Amazingly long and dry. A more peppery version of what went before.
Comment: Unquestionably the finest Dalmore I have ever tasted bottled. A classic.
9.3
Taster   Michael Jackson
Nose: Almondy.
Palate: Sweet. Creamy. Buttery. Faint orange coming through.
Finish: Very late smokiness brings some balancing dryness.
Comment: Extraordinarily sweet-but an engaging curiosity. This pale, golden Dalmore, without the sherry, has an especially characteristic touch of amontillado.
