Tasting notes
Taster   Annabel Meikle
Nose: Huge beads burst with wet wool, camphor and damp tobacco. Brine washed shells and freshly crushed lemongrass. The hulk finds his inner soul softening with fluffy marshmallow and clean, green agave.
Palate: Honey cured bacon sizzling on a barbeque laced with rosemary and sage. A game of two halves: chalk, flint and clean ash followed by a chunky farmyard earthiness.
Finish: Tooth coating and fiery.
Comment: A big boy bruiser with a tender heart.

Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: A very distinct peatiness, with a hint of mossiness/fresh pine, back-dropped against some cured meat and boiled sweet vegetables.
Palate: A big hit of coal dust, tingly white pepper and a very dry charred note totally immerse the palate. It is dominant and distinct.
Finish: This is youthful and after the peat subsides, there’s little else left on the palate.
Comment: Another peat bomb. It is ultimately quite one-dimensional, but quirky all the same.
