Tasting notes
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Hay, light smoke, honey and pineapple on the nose, with a suggestion of cereal.
Palate: Quite full in the mouth, with soft peat smoke, old, warm leather, cinnamon and stewed fruits.
Finish: Medium to long, oily, honey, spicy oak and lingering smokiness.
Comment: Clear evidence of a higher proportion of Spanish oak-matured spirit here.
8.5
Taster   Joe Bates
Nose: A complex, fragrant nose offering up melon and honey balanced with a gentle waft of smoke.
Palate: The palate opens up with some honey sweetness, then spice, warming ginger and black pepper. join the party. Peat smoke gatecrashes right at the last.
Finish: Long and spicy.
Comment: The high proportion of European oak casks really make their presence felt in this warming dram.
