Tasting notes
Taster   Martine Nouet
Nose: Malty and oaky. Bracken, wet straw, damp wood. Opens on soft fruit andcider apple. Aniseed hint.
Palate: Crisp. Sweet and bitter. Oak speaks up. Raisins, candied ginger, hazelnut cake. The oak grip keeps on. A distant yeasty note.
Finish: Dry, oaky.
Comment: An oaky character. Aromatic but a bit dour, especially on the palate.

Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Soft and gentle with spun sugar notes at first. Then a little green tobacco, moving to dark treacle, fresh ploughed fields.
Palate: Sweet fruit, apple compote and brown sugar. A little nougat, faint spices andwarming bread. The oak takes a grip too but is well integrated.
Finish: White chocolate and drying.
Comment: Up front sweetness at first but in time there is more than just sugar here.
