Tasting notes
Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Icing sugar, caramel and milk chocolate. A sprinkling of white pepper and ginger, fresh pineapple and a hint of cloves.
Palate: Smooth and silky, with milk chocolate orange, fondant creams and soft spices.
Finish: Gentle fruit spices, hazelnuts and a suggestion of dark orange.
Comment: Another interesting and more complex departure from the ‘standard’ Master Distiller’s Reserve, but not sure it’s worth twice the price of the Solera Vatted expression.
7.8
Taster   Joe Bates
Nose: Honeycomb and sultanas.
Palate: Creamy, sweet and very smooth.
Finish: Medium length, with a subtle hint of oak.
Comment: A very easy to drink whisky.
