Tasting notes
Taster   Dave Broom
Nose: Rich, heavy, shows maturity. Floral notes (violet/pot pourri) and spices (ginger, allspice, nutmeg, candied peels). Oily; floor polish, sandalwood.
Palate: Lively. Fruit, sweet spices and oak pool in the centre. Big with a silky/oily mouthfeel.
Finish: Cocoa butter. Long.
Comment: A cracker, typical of old (and older style) Speyside.

Taster   Gavin D. Smith
Nose: Fewer floral notes, more vanilla and toffee.
Palate: The bourbon cask is beginning to assert its influence here. Vanilla and toffee on top of still lively malt and spice.
Finish: Lengthy and complex, malt and vanilla nicely in harmony.
Comment: Fine if you're a bourbon fan, but this is perhaps a little too far for me.
