Tasting notes
Taster   Chris Goodrum
Nose: Gorgeous nose of dusty barley and succulent, mature honey. The aromas imply age as the fruit displays that lovely aged, tropical character – melon, pineapple, banana and apricot. With time a teasing note of lime appears along with a hint of herbs. Classi?
Palate: Gentle, deep, mature and utterly gorgeous! Full of luscious tropical fruit, honey and sawdusty oak. Superbly deep and heavenly.
Finish: Long and gently spiced with a sliver of mouth-watering citrus, lingering honey and oak.
Comment: Beautiful and mature. I’m running out of superlatives for it.

Taster   Joel Harrison
Nose: A wonderful mix of pear drops, heather honey, sweet vanilla and peach melba. Lemon bonbons to finish off.
Palate: Plenty of vanilla on the palate at first, with a good balance of sweet vanilla oak and distillery spirit, which works well. The lemon bonbons from the nose appear as well on the palate along with some lemongrass.
Finish: Buttery with a hint of green grass and lemon meringue pie.
Comment: Evokes a summer-time feel, with plenty of fresh fruits (pineapples, mostly), cream and honey, but I’d be happy to be served a dram of this anytime of year.
