Tasting notes
Taster   Rob Allanson
Nose: Very gentle sooty note, like a cold wood burning stove. Then a spun sugar note, oak sweetness, fresh cut wood, some dried fruits, pineapple, apple skins. Coconut macaroons.
Palate: Sweet like wheat beer and the same silky mouthfeel. Gentle and the sweetness slowly gives way to cumin, salted caramel, a little fresh chilli, raspberry meringue. Then a little macadamia nut coffee bitterness.
Finish: Very juicy and it keeps on going.
Comment: So much body and punch for the ABV.
Taster   Neil Ridley
Nose: Stewed raspberries, vanilla, coconut, some creamy patisserie custard and vanilla pipe tobacco.
Palate: The sweetness continues to the palate, with vanilla, rich bourbon notes, raspberry creams, red apple skins and a touch of nutmeg.
Finish: The creaminess lingers, alongside swathes of vanilla.
Comment: A big, rich classic Bourbon note to this one. Well played.
